Withdrawing Bids

If your bid is out-of-range, you can withdraw your committed funds at any time during the auction.

When You Can Withdraw

You can withdraw when your bid is out-of-range -- meaning your max price is below the current clearing price. In this situation, your bid is not actively participating in the auction and your funds are not needed.

When You Cannot Withdraw

You cannot withdraw when your bid is in-range -- meaning your max price is at or above the current clearing price. This restriction is fundamental to how CCA works: it prevents strategic manipulation where a bidder could temporarily inflate the clearing price and then pull out.

caution

If you place a bid with a high max price, there is a good chance it will be in-range and locked for the duration of the auction. Only bid with funds you are willing to commit.

How to Withdraw

  1. Connect your wallet and navigate to the Portfolio page
  2. Find the bid you want to withdraw
  3. Verify its status shows Out-of-Range
  4. Click Withdraw
  5. Approve the transaction in your wallet

What You Get Back

When you withdraw an out-of-range bid, you receive your full quote currency deposit back. There are no fees or penalties for withdrawing an out-of-range bid.

After withdrawal, your bid is removed from the auction entirely. If you change your mind, you would need to place a new bid.
