Getting Started
This guide walks you through connecting to Runner Protocol and navigating the interface for the first time.
What You Need
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- A Solana wallet -- Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack are all supported
- SOL for transaction fees -- A small amount of SOL (0.01 SOL is more than enough) covers Solana transaction fees
- USDC or SOL for bidding -- This is the currency you commit when placing bids in auctions
Runner Protocol is currently live on Solana Devnet. You can get free devnet SOL from the Solana Faucet for testing.
Connecting Your Wallet
- Visit the Runner Protocol app
- Click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner
- Select your wallet provider (Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack)
- Approve the connection request in your wallet
Your wallet address will appear in the header once connected. Runner Protocol never requests your private key or seed phrase.
Navigating the Interface
Auctions List
The main page displays all active and recent auctions. Each card shows the token name, current clearing price, time remaining, and total supply. You can filter by status (active, ended, graduated) to find auctions of interest.
Auction Detail
Click on any auction to see its full detail page. Here you will find the live clearing price, supply schedule, time remaining, bid distribution chart, and the form to place your own bid.
Portfolio
The Portfolio page (accessible from the top navigation) shows all your bids across all auctions. You can see which bids are in-range or out-of-range, check fill amounts, and take actions like withdrawing out-of-range bids or claiming tokens from settled auctions.
What You Can Do
- Browse auctions -- Explore active token launches and their parameters
- Place bids -- Commit capital at a maximum price you are willing to pay
- Claim tokens -- After an auction graduates and settles, claim your allocated tokens
- Withdraw bids -- Pull back out-of-range bids that are not currently active
- Create launches -- If you are a token creator, launch your own CCA-powered token
