Frequently Asked Questions

What is a clearing price?

The clearing price is the single price at which all available tokens in a given slot are sold. It is computed as the highest price where total demand (from bids at or above that price) meets or exceeds the available supply. Every winning bid in that slot pays the same clearing price, regardless of their individual max price. For a deeper explanation, see How CCA Works.

Why can't I withdraw my bid?

Your bid is in-range, meaning your max price is at or above the current clearing price. In-range bids are locked to prevent strategic manipulation of the auction. You can only withdraw bids that are out-of-range (max price below clearing price). If the clearing price rises above your max price due to other bids, your bid will become out-of-range and withdrawable.

What happens if an auction doesn't graduate?

If an auction ends without meeting its graduation threshold (not enough currency raised), the normal settlement flow does not occur. Instead, a recovery path is available: bidders can reclaim their committed funds through a permissionless recovery process. No tokens are distributed, and all deposited currency is returned.

Are my funds safe?

Yes. All funds are held in Program Derived Accounts (PDAs) -- on-chain escrow accounts controlled by the smart contract code, not by any person or company. No one, including the Runner Protocol team, can access your funds. The only way funds move is through the on-chain program logic (bidding, withdrawing, claiming, or recovery).

What token standard does Runner use?

Runner Protocol uses Token-2022 (also known as Token Extensions) with the MetadataPointer extension. This embeds token metadata directly in the mint account, eliminating the need for a separate Metaplex metadata account. Token-2022 is Solana's modern token standard maintained by the Solana Program Library.

Can the team mint more tokens after launch?

No. The mint authority is transferred to the auction PDA during launch setup and is permanently renounced during settlement. After settlement, no entity -- not the creator, not Runner Protocol, not anyone -- can create additional tokens. The total supply is fixed forever.

What DEX will the token trade on?

After settlement, a Raydium CPMM (Constant Product Market Maker) liquidity pool is automatically created. The token will be tradeable on Raydium immediately after settlement completes. The initial liquidity is seeded from auction proceeds and the LP token allocation.

What wallets are supported?

Runner Protocol supports any Solana wallet compatible with the Wallet Adapter standard. The most popular options are:

Is Runner Protocol on mainnet?

info

Runner Protocol is currently deployed on Solana Devnet for testing and development. Mainnet deployment is planned but has not yet occurred. You can test the full auction lifecycle on devnet using free devnet SOL from the Solana Faucet.

Who can trigger settlement?

Settlement is permissionless. Any Solana wallet can submit the settlement transactions -- you do not need to be the auction creator or a bidder. This ensures no single party can block or delay the settlement process.
